| KAKAMEGA Senator Bonny Khalwale has denied jumping over the fence at a funeral in Malava subcounty on Sunday last week.
It was reported he jumped over the fence and was confronted by Malava elders at the burial of retired senior chief Isaac Luvonga at Matsakha village.
The elders said the senator’s move was disrespectful to the chief.
But Khalwale said there was actually no fence for him to jump over.
He said there was no clear entry to the service venue of the burial.
“I entered the home using the gate, viewed the body then proceeded to the field where the service was being conducted,” Khalwale told the Star on the phone on Sunday.
